Notice is given that the City of Dania Beach, Florida, is requesting bids for:

“CDBG Years 43 and 44 - Neighborhood Improvements Project, Installation of Solar Lights REBID”
ITB No. 19-012

The City of Dania Beach is actively seeking bids from qualified Contractors for the installation of solar lights to be located within the boundaries of the Community Redevelopment Agency (“CRA”) in the City.

For additional information concerning this Bid, please contact Fred Bloetscher, Ph.D., P.E., Consultant of Public Utility Management & Planning Services, Inc., at P.O. A Mandatory pre-bid meeting scheduled for 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, October 9, 2019 will be held in the NW Conference Room at Dania Beach City Hall, 100 W. Dania Beach Boulevard, Dania Beach, Florida. All Bidders are required to attend the meeting.

Sealed bids must include one (1) original, four (4) copies, and one (1) CD or digital format of the required documents. Sealed bids must be received no later than 10:00 a.m. on Friday, October 25, 2019. Bids will be publicly opened at 10:30 a.m. in the NW Conference Room at City Hall, 100 W. Dania Beach Boulevard, Dania Beach, Florida. Bid packets must be sealed, addressed and clearly marked:

This is a federally funded project under Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funding by the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). All HUD Federal rules and regulations pertaining to this project are applicable.

Federal Davis-Bacon Wage Rates for work classifications are specified and must be complied with. Fringe benefits must be added to the prevailing hourly rates where applicable.

Bidders must comply with Section 3 of the Housing and Urban Development Act of 1968 which requires that economic opportunities to the greatest extent feasible be given to low and very low income persons and to businesses that provide economic opportunities for these persons. The City encourages persons and local contractors and who reside or do business within the City of Dania Beach, or both such residents and businesses to participate in the bidding process.

The City Commission of the City of Dania Beach reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive any informality in a bid, and to make awards in the best interest of the City.
