King Tide Advisory (August 29 - September 3, 2023): King tides bring unusually high water levels and can cause temporary local tidal flooding. King tides occur when the orbits and alignment of the Earth, moon, and sun combine to produce the most significant tidal effects of the year. Flood Safety - Some areas in Dania Beach are prone to flooding from heavy rain and during king tide events. Some floods develop slowly, while others such a flash-floods can develop in just a few minutes. Be aware of flood hazards no matter where you live or work, but especially if you are in low-lying areas or near water.
