  • Yuval Wolfson: reflections on emotion, consciousness, and time through his unique artistic perspective. With an ability to subtly portray light and explore humanity through non-human motifs, Wolfson’s art has become a favorite among collectors around the world.
  • Personal History: Wolfson was born in Petah Tikva, Israel in 1966. He spent much of his childhood with his grandfather, award-winning poet Y.Z. Shargel. It was through his interactions with his grandfather and his creative friends that Wolfson became interested in the art world.
  • Peter Dean (artist Leslie Velardis' step dad) "After graduation from Philadelphia school of arts I worked as a general building contractor in Southern California. In 1994 I had a stroke and have aphasia which involves difficulty in speaking, writing and reading.
I returned to my home in Ct from California for extensive rehabilitation. While I was rehabbing at Gaylord Hospital in Wallingford CT I ended up teaching painting for the handicapped. I was featured as man of the year in 2012.
Eventually my family moved to Florida because of the weather and the ability to have a active lifestyle year round.
I currently sell my paintings to a handicap greeting card company. I also had a article in the newspaper a few years ago as the mystery artist.…/mystery-artist-surprises…
I was living in Dania Beach until 2017 when my wife of over 50 years passed and now in a high rise in Sunny Isles."
  • Leslie Velardi: Dania Beach, Florida based artist. For the past year been working with resin to make contemporary abstract beach pictures. I got back into the arts since 2010 with drawing, watercolor, and acrylics. Then I saw some resin work and absolutely loved the look. Contemporary abstract paintings are created using mixed media combining ink and fluid acrylics, mica powder and air dried clay and sand and shells from Dania Beach to produce vibrant abstracts bursting with energy, with a glass-like finish. My background was mostly doing photography and won 1st place in the festival of arts in New Haven CT with a still life photo while still in high school. I am a retired Allstate agency owner from Ct since 2010 and now a full time resident of beautiful Dania Beach, Fl.
  • Karyl Shannon: Stained Glass Artist. ” I grew up in NJ , but have been in FL for 40 years. So this is home. I've been doing stained glass as a hobby for over 20 years. I love to be creative. I never used to sell my art, just giving them away as presents. Since I've been retired since 2013, I've had plenty of time to do what I love, which is stained glass".
  • Louis Rosemond: Acclaimed and internationally known Haitian artist Louis Rosemond was born November 18,1957 in Port-au-Prince, Haiti. He dedicated himself to painting and music at the age of eight, but has never received formal training. Rosemond’s colorful market scenes, fruits and jungles are known throughout the world as an excellent example of the primitive naïf style. Rendered in flat , naïve style, the paintings are vibrant with jewel-like colors, and filled with precisely detailed images of plants and animals. When painting his jungle scenes, Rosemond says he is imagining the paradise that Haiti was when he was a child. His work has been shown at numerous international exhibitions in Venezuela, Australia, Puerto-Rico , Curaçao, throughout the United States and his naïve Haiti. Moreover ,his work has been featured in many news outlets (I.e,newspapers, Sun Sentinel, Miami herald , Caribbean Today , Daily news , Los Angeles Times ,Haitian American Business , radio, and TV stations) including definitive work on Haitian Arts “Les Naives Haitiennes”, and in the historic work “Voodoo Kingdom to Modern Riviera” by John Allen Franciscus.

Our Musical Entertainment:

Art in the Hall is so excited to welcome back our friends Acoustic Wine to play their intoxicating sounds for us March 14th. Acoustic wine is a dynamic male and female duo featuring Esha J. as Lead vocalist and Ivan Mitchell on Guitar/backup vocals. They play popular music of all genres and generations with a soulful rock/jazz vibe along with some original songs they’ve written.

Esha J. Was born and raised in Delaware with 5 brothers and sisters and has been singing for as long as she can remember. Starting off in church choir she continued on to sing all throughout high school until she started writing her own music and continued on to record and perform in NY, Atlanta & LA until she found herself in Florida where she adopted 2 guinea pigs & eventually met Ivan Mitchell and with their chemistry Acoustic Wine was born.

Ivan Mitchell was born in Brooklyn, NY and grew up playing the drums. He served in the military after high school and moved to FL over 20 years ago. At some point he grew tired of lugging around heavy drumsets so he switched to guitar and has been playing ever since. He has 2 daughters, 4 cats and a new puppy.
