Alejandro Fuentes - In his own words:
"My name is Alejandro Fuentes Oliva. I was born in Havana, Cuba where I studied fine arts at "San Alejandro Fine Arts Academy" from which I graduated on 1985. Besides participating in solo and collective art shows nationally and internationally with paintings I have also done big and small format sculptures for public art shows in USA and Havana. I love easel painting outdoors (plain air) when weather permits. I also love figure drawing by the beach and portrait painting and sculpting"
Local Dania Beach resident artist Lori Wibiki moved to Florida 2 years ago, from Chicago. Lori is self-taught, and she had been painting only about a year. She explains she has always loved expressing herself through art.
Michelle Galli - Grateful Creations, Fluid Artist:
Michelle is a proud full time resident of Dania Beach and Canadian citizen. Employed as a flight attendant for 19 years, she still loves her job. Her passion for art and creativity is matched only by her zest for life! “If you do what you love, you never work a day in your life!” Acrylic pouring has become one of those passions. Her work has been featured at several Dania after Dark festivals. Her offerings include canvases, coasters, jewelry and even furniture!! Michelle’s work is all original and no two pieces are the same. Grateful Creations was born. The gratitude of sharing her work, knowledge and pure joy of creating art is what drives her. Living a grateful life is close to a perfect life! Michelle loves the beach and calls Dania beach “my beach!” She has a pool float she uses in the ocean and calls it the SS Michelle!!
Noël de Christian: Photographer
One of my biggest goals as a photographer is to make handsome works of art. I have always had a good eye for beauty and composition, and I use these to produce images that come from the heart. Though I enjoy photography of various types, my main focus are landscape and travel photography. It's truly my calling and passion. When I started experimenting with photography, I only had film to shoot and my model was my poor sister who kindly "volunteered" her time to sit under my hot lights. The room would get terribly warm from the lights so a lot of time was spent just trying to stay cool. The days spent waiting to get the pictures back from the lab were filled with anticipation; I wanted to see if my settings were good enough to render a decent photo. Sometimes the results were good and sometimes they were not but I learned what worked and what didn't. It was like Christmas morning every time a new roll of film was developed and I got to see the results. Fast forward about 35 years and I'm still taking pictures. Rather than photographing my sister, I now travel the globe shooting amazing landscapes. Nothing makes me happier than one of my prints hanging proudly in a beautiful home or business.
