Stormwater Master Plan

Addressing flooding challenges in Dania Beach is a City priority. A stormwater system is a network of swales, storm drains, pipes, pumps, and outlets designed to move the rainwater away from homes, businesses and critical assets.

While there are currently several stormwater improvement projects completed, planned and underway citywide, a citywide Stormwater Master Plan (SWMP) will offer long-term solutions posed by intense storms, rising sea levels and urban growth. The SWMP is a systematic approach to identify problem areas, implement targeted infrastructure improvements, and best management practices to alleviate flooding conditions that will align with city, county, state and federal efforts.

Upcoming SWMP Workshops

Three public meetings will be held to engage the public to develop a Dania Beach Stormwater Master Plan.

Meetings:

Meetings will be held both in-person and virtually with the purpose of educating the public on different levels of flooding and collecting information related to flooding concerns and photos from the public.
