Primary Duties of the City Manager



The City of Dania Beach is a Commission-Manager form of local government.  
The City Manager is appointed by the elected City Commission.

The City Manager is responsible for the administration of the City and carrying out the policies and directives of the City Commission.  The Manager’s duties include providing leadership and direction to the City departments; preparation of the City’s annual operating budget; working with federal, state and, local officials; attending meetings of the Dania Beach City Commission.

City Manager Robert Baldwin



Dania Beach’s City Manager Robert Baldwin began serving the City in 2009.  He was previously City Manager of the City of Lake Worth and has served the Cities of Fort Lauderdale, Hollywood, Sunrise, Lauderdale-by-the-Sea, Broward County and the Broward Sheriff’s Office.

Mr. Baldwin, with a Bachelor’s degree and a Master’s degree in Public Administration from the University of Florida, has more than 25 years of experience in local Government.  He is a life-long resident of Broward County.
