Dania Pointe - New Mixed-Use Lifestyle Development in Dania Beach, FL
Best-in-Class Retail
Approximately 1 million square feet of exciting shopping and dining options. Dania Pointe will feature a sophisticated mix of shopping, dining and entertainment venues, featuring the hottest, most recognizable brands, along with boutique and specialty shops. Visitors will shop, dine & relax among impeccably landscaped, tree-lined streets, and enjoy spending time in several signature public spaces that will enhance the overall shopping experience.
The Shops at Dania Pointe will benefit from the millions of tourists flooding the area. 2015 saw 15 million visitors to the Greater Fort Lauderdale area, and the 14 million+ that visited in 2014 spent $11.4 billion on hotels, attractions, retail shops and restaurants.
And locals will be shopping as well – the Florida consumer has rebounded quickly after the recession. Florida outpaced the nation’s increase in personal consumption in 2014 with 4.9% growth versus 4.2% for the U.S., and Floridians spend more per person on dining out than the average U.S. resident. Consumer spending on restaurants increased 6.9% year over year in 2014, with only 6 other states increasing at a higher rate.
Population growth, the tourism boom, and the recovering housing market have all contributed to retail growth in South Florida, and this market is thought of by many in the industry as having the most momentum. The retail vacancy rate in Broward County has been trending downward throughout 2015, falling to 5.7% at the end of 2015, and well-positioned retail space is in high demand.

FAREWELL TO DANIA’S “HURRICANE” ROLLER COASTER - 2016
Dania’s “Hurricane” roller coaster, known as the tallest wooden amusement park ride in Florida, is coming down. The roller coaster was built with more than a million feet of lumber and 8 million pounds of concrete. It was opened to the public in 2000, offered thrilling rides to the community until 2013, closed and stood still on the side of the interstate ever since. The silenced 100-foot-tall timber sculpture is being demolished piece by piece to make room for DANIA POINTE.The 1.3 million-square-foot open air shopping center, multimillion development north of Stirling, will include major retail stores, restaurants, apartments, condos and offices, and at least one hotel with over 160 rooms. Dania Pointe will soon be one of the largest shopping centers in Broward County. It is anticipated to bring more than 4,000 construction jobs and as many permanent jobs to our boosting community.
Dania Pointe is a joint venture with Master Development, Salzman Real Estate Advisors of Dania Beach and the New York-based Kimco Real Estate Investment Trust.
